Baghdad, Feb 11, (VOI) – Main security developments in Iraq on Sunday:

Tikrit- At least eleven policemen were killed and eight others wounded on Sunday morning when a suicide bomber detonated an explosives-rigged car at a police station near Tikrit, a security source said.

Baghdad- The U.S. army said on Sunday a service man was killed in a gunmen's attack while operating in Diala province, 57 km northeast of Baghdad.

Hilla- Police patrols found the bodies of three civilians in separate areas in the predominantly Shiite province of Babel, 100 km south of the capital Baghdad, a Babel police command source said on Sunday.

Missan- Unidentified gunmen assassinated on Sunday morning a former Baath Party member in central Amara, 380 km southeast of the capital Baghdad, eyewitnesses said on Sunday.

Baghdad- At least three people were killed and five others were wounded shortly before noon on Sunday in western Baghdad, a police source said.

Baaquba- An Iraqi police source said on Sunday six gunmen were killed in clashes between a U.S. and Iraqi combined vehicle patrol and gunmen in al-Khalis district in Diala province.

Mosul- An Iraqi police source said on Sunday eight police recruits were killed by unknown gunmen near Talafar district, west of Mosul.

Mosul- At least 26 civilians were wounded on Sunday in a mortar attack in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a police source said.

Sulaymaniya– A force of three Hummer vehicles raided the house of a member of the Islamic Group of Kurdistan and arrested him, an official source at the group's political bureau said on Sunday.
